Today, Jeton Zulfaj, Chief Negotiator of the Republic of Kosovo with the European Union, received the Ambassador of Austria to Kosovo, Georg Schnetzer.
Mr. Zulfaj expressed his appreciation for the continuous and valuable support that the Republic of Austria has provided to the Republic of Kosovo at various stages of state-building. He emphasized that Austria is an important partner for Kosovo on its path toward membership in the European Union.
The meeting discussed progress in the implementation of the Growth Plan and the Reform Agenda. Mr. Zulfaj underlined the commitment of the institutions to ensure consistent implementation in line with the established deadlines.
Mr. Zulfaj considered obtaining candidate country status and opening accession negotiations among the Government’s key priorities, in line with the progress achieved and the continued commitment to reforms.
Ambassador Schnetzer congratulated Mr. Zulfaj on assuming his position and offered Austria’s support in Kosovo’s European integration process.
