Kosovo participates in the informal meeting of Ministers for European Affairs in Dublin

The Chief Negotiator of the Republic of Kosovo with the European Union, Jeton Zulfaj, is representing Kosovo at the informal meeting of Ministers for European Affairs, which is being held on 3 and 4 September in Dublin under the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The meeting brings together ministers from EU member states, their counterparts from candidate and potential candidate countries, European Commissioners and Members of the European Parliament. There are three main topics on the agenda: the Multiannual Financial Framework 2028-2034, EU enlargement and strengthening the democratic sustainability of the European Union.

The ministers from candidate and potential candidate countries will join the member states in a working session dedicated to enlargement, where Chief Negotiator Zulfaj will make an intervention. In his speech, he will articulate Kosovo’s priorities, with particular emphasis on obtaining candidate country status and opening accession negotiations, as meritorious steps based on the country’s reforms and results.

Kosovo remains committed to its journey towards the European Union and to advancing reforms that bring the country closer to the European family.
