Prishtina, 5 April 2016 – Minister of European Integration, Mr. Bekim Çollaku, received today a delegation of MPs from the German Bundestag, whereby, they discussed the European agenda of Kosovo and the bilateral cooperation among the two countries.
Minister Çollaku informed German MPs on the fulfilment of Kosovo`s obligations towards visa liberalization process, therefore, it is awaiting a meritorious decision in order for Kosovars to obtain visa free travel. As key strategic partner of Kosovo within the European Union, the German support is highly important, stated Minister Çollaku.
Also, Minister Çollaku outlined the commencement of SAA implementation, emphasizing that entry into force of the SAA shall provide opportunities to enhance trade exchanges and German investments in Kosovo.
Minister Çollaku underlined, also, the need to boost efforts with regard to seasonal employment of Kosovar professionals in Germany, in various profiles and sectors.
The German delegation consisting of MPs: Mr. Peter Weiß (CDU / CSU), Andreas G. Lämmel (CDU / CSU) and Josip Juratovic (SPD), commended Minister Çollaku upon the entry into force of the SAA, vowing German further support in visa liberalization process and the necessary reforms to be undertaken in light of European agenda.
