Prishtina, 31 March 2017 – Minister of European Integration, Mimoza Ahmetaj received today in a meeting the Ambassador of the Netherlands in Kosovo, Ms. Gerrie Willems. During the meeting they discussed about the European integration process of Kosovo, with special emphasis on the implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement, visa liberalization and the European reform agenda.
Minister Ahmetaj thanked the Ambassador for the support that the Netherlands has given to Kosovo, asking for continuation of support for the integration process in EU, starting from the implementation of the SAA and visa liberalization. She expressed the commitment of the Government of Kosovo and the Ministry of European Integration to deepening of the cooperation with the Netherlands, emphasizing the possibilities of exchanges and support of the Netherlands to Kosovo society towards the European integration. Ambassador of the Netherlands Gerrie Willems, thanked Minister Ahmetaj for the reception, emphasizing her engagement during the mission in Kosovo for further deepening of the cooperation between the two countries. Ambassador Willems also praised the achievements in Kosovo, expressing the support of the Netherlands, especially for European integration process and the Rule of Law in Kosovo, as key priorities for the Netherlands.
