During the meeting with Ambassador Dowling, Minister Çitaku talked about the developments in Kosova and the advance in the European Integration agenda.
Minister Çitaku informed Mr. Dowling about the recent developments in Kosova regarding the affairs with the European Union, and for the task-work that precede the Stabilization and Association process. In this meeting, Minister Çitaku and Ambassador Dowling agreed that there is no other alternative for Kosova but that of European Integration. Furthermore, Minister Çitaku claimed that for a further advance in this process, Kosova should be focused on fulfilling the criteria and the required reforms, but it’s very important for the EU to have the same approach with Kosovo as with the regional countries.
In the other hand, Mr. Dowling thanked Minister Çitaku for the hospitality and confirmed Ireland’s support on the all processes that Kosova will be going through, especially in the journey until its entry in the European Union. On its next European Council Presidency turn, Ireland will express continuous support for Kosova.
