Kosovo’s Chief Negotiator with the EU, Jeton Zulfaj, met with Katarina Barley, Vice-President of the European Parliament and Executive Vice-President of the Party of European Socialists (PES).
Chief Negotiator Zulfaj thanked Ms Barley for her support in advancing Kosovo’s path towards EU membership. The meeting also addressed recent geopolitical developments in Europe, which have brought enlargement back to the forefront of the European Union’s agenda.
Chief Negotiator Zulfaj emphasised that obtaining candidate country status and opening accession negotiations are Kosovo’s main objectives. He underlined that Ms Barley’s engagement is important for mobilizing political support and turning Kosovo’s European perspective into concrete institutional steps.
