The Chief Negotiator of the Republic of Kosovo with the European Union, Jeton Zulfaj, held a working lunch today with the French Minister Delegate for European Affairs, Benjamin Haddad, as part of his first official visit to Kosovo.
The Chief Negotiator welcomed the signing of five new bilateral agreements, which further strengthen the partnership between Kosovo and France.
The meeting discussed the enlargement process, reforms and regional issues. Mr. Zulfaj thanked Minister Haddad for his support in the enlargement process and stressed the need for Kosovo to advance towards candidate status and the opening of accession negotiations.
The accession process is a reform process that improves all areas of life: it strengthens democracy, improves the rule of law, protects the environment, develops the economy and increases security.
