During my visit to Sweden, I had the pleasure of stopping at the Swedish Institute and meeting with Mr. Kurt Bratteby, Director of the Department for International Relations, this time not only as the Chief Negotiator of the Republic of Kosovo with the EU, but also as an alumnus of the Swedish Institute and former student of Lund University, proof of Sweden’s broad support for Kosovo.
Kosovo’s connection with Sweden has not only been built through institutions, but also through people, education and direct experiences. Today, that experience serves us every day in our work for Kosovo’s membership in the EU.
With Mr. Bratteby, we talked about the opportunities and challenges in the membership process and how many young people and professionals from Kosovo benefit from exchanges, internships and programs for civil servants, in cooperation with Swedish universities and our institutions.
