Brussels, 17 December 2018 – At the plenary session of the EU-Kosovo SAA Joint Committee, led by Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and Federica Mogherini, the Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, discussed Political Criteria, Economic criteria, SAA implementation and financial co-operation.
In her speech, Minister Hoxha focused on the fact that Kosovo has fulfilled all the benchmarks of the visa liberalization and voiced her concern over no decision taken on visa liberalization, which questions EU credibility and is disappointing for the citizens.
At the meeting, Minister Hoxha emphasized that the implementation of comprehensive reforms to meet the Stabilization and Association Agreement has been accelerated, focusing on the implementation of the European Reform Agenda.
Regional cooperation and good neighborly relations are a positive chapter of Kosovo, said Minister Hoxha, pointing out the obstacles Kosovo faced in free trade.
“Kosovo has adopted the Legal Package on Public Administration Reform and the Public Finance Management Program, the selection of senior civil servants in public sector, the rationalization of independent agencies to increase accountability, the elimination of overlapping competences and ensuring of a more structured public administration, “said Minister Hoxha.
Kosovo is improving the rule of law and investment climate for domestic and foreign investments, including property rights of investors said Minister Hoxha.
