Chief Negotiator Zulfaj is participating in the Informal Meeting of Ministers for European Affairs, taking place in Nicosia, Cyprus
The Chief Negotiator of the Republic of Kosovo with the European Union, Mr. Jeton Zulfaj, is participating in the Informal Meeting of Ministers for European Affairs, taking place over two days, on 10–11 May, in Nicosia, Cyprus.
This two-day meeting is organized within the framework of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU and brings together ministers for European affairs, representatives of the European Commission, as well as ministers from candidate countries and potential candidates. The meeting serves as a platform for exchange on the future of the European Union enlargement process.
During the first day, after the organized visit to the city, Chief Negotiator Zulfaj was welcomed by the Deputy Minister for European Affairs of Cyprus, Ms. Marilena Raouna, where he also had the opportunity to exchange views with the heads of delegations of the member states.
The second day is dedicated to thematic discussions, with particular attention to EU enlargement.
Mr. Zulfaj will participate in the enlargement session with the aim of placing the issue of candidate country status and the opening of negotiations for Kosovo at the center of the discussion.
